About Linda

Starting therapy can be an overwhelming process. Many people struggle to find meaningful connections and satisfying relationships in their lives. Even people in long term marriages and relationships can often find themselves feeling lonely or disconnected. Learning how to communicate and listen to feel understood and valued in relationships can be difficult, especially when there are underlying issues that have never been sorted out.

Using a holistic and person-centered approach, my goal is to develop a trusting, affirming relationship with you where your individual needs, experiences, and goals can be achieved. Learning how to communicate needs and fears in a safe and trusting relationship is key to achieving successful connection with ourselves and others.

I strive to provide a comfortable, accepting, and non-judgemental environment to create a safe and reassuring space to figure out how to move forward in your life or relationships.

Experience:

I have been married for twenty-one years and am raising three teenage boys who are in university and high school. I understand the demands of family life and the struggles we all face in today’s culture. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing my master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I have worked for over twenty years in the healthcare profession and have been a clinical instructor for almost as long. I have worked with students to become culturally competent and sensitive healthcare providers. I have mentored and guided many students to achieve their educational and personal goals which lead me into this field of counselling. I enjoy listening to people tell me their stories, their goals, and where they feel stuck. I offer encouragement, understanding and overwhelming compassion to help people achieve their goals.
I love working with teens and hearing their unique experiences. Whether they are experiencing difficulty in school or at home, I can help them organize their thoughts and feelings to create hope and inspiration for their future.
