About Sarah Perone

Relationships are complicated, and it’s easy to feel stuck in patterns that leave you questioning why things never seem to change. Whether it’s small misunderstandings snowballing into big fights, or a sense of disconnection that feels impossible to bridge, it can be frustrating and exhausting. But, what if you could break those cycles for good?

I work with individuals and couples to identify and understand the root causes of their relational struggles. Through a compassionate, non-judgmental, and evidence-based approach, I support you in regaining clarity and building the tools needed to restore communication, trust, and connection. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by repetitive emotional patterns, I offer a safe space where we can work together to create lasting, meaningful change.

With a background in mental health, including a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University, I have spent years working with individuals in crisis, particularly through my volunteer work with Kids Help Phone. These experiences have honed my ability to listen deeply and offer personalized support in times of emotional distress.
My approach is rooted in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps individuals and couples identify the emotional patterns that shape their relationships. I believe in the power of human connection and view therapy as a way to facilitate growth, healing, and transformation from within. I also integrate other therapeutic approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to tailor my work to your unique needs.

I am deeply passionate about supporting people through their journeys of healing—whether it’s an individual struggling with anxiety, or a couple looking to rebuild intimacy. I believe everyone has the potential to thrive, and I work with you to unlock that potential in a way that is holistic, relational, and grounded in science.

More About Me:
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m a lover of adventure and creativity. I enjoy traveling, hiking, yoga, and getting lost in the art of baking (I’ve even created my own sourdough starter!). These hobbies keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of nurturing both the mind and the spirit.

I look forward to supporting you as you begin your own journey of healing and growth. Together, we’ll work to create a path forward that fosters deep connection, understanding, and lasting change.
