Registered Psychotherapist, MACP; BATh
Navigating life and relationships can be challenging, exhausting, confusing, and downright overwhelming. In a world where one is constantly connected through social media, increasingly, we can feel isolated and alone as we strive to meet relationship and work demands, while living up to our own personal and relational expectations. In seasons of uncertainty, it is normal to feel a sense of spinning out of control, and struggling with where do I go from here?
The thought of therapy can be terrifying, which is why I am committed to creating an environment of trust and understanding. I will work alongside you from a holistic, evidence-based framework, respecting individual values and choices in the therapeutic process of understanding the power of human connection, self-discovery, and self-respect.
I am committed to equipping you with the skills and insight to reposition your life from a posture of autonomy, self-respect, dignity, and courage to achieve your goals and purpose at your pace.
Experience: I am a Registered Psychotherapist, a graduate of Yorkville University with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, and a graduate of Queens College, an affiliate of Memorial University in NL, with a Bachelor’s in Theological Studies. I have completed a nationally accredited clinical pastoral education program in which I was privileged to journey with individuals through grief counselling, helping clients work through complicated grief and loss.
I have worked with individuals, couples and families from a pastoral framework for the more than 20 years, through a wide variety of major life events such as marriage and pre-marriage counselling, separations and divorce, couples with partner violence and betrayal, birth of children and the loss of children from serious illness and stillborn births. Additionally, I have worked with men who were working on parenting skills so they could obtain access and connection to their children.
I am passionate about helping others discover love, life, health and healing through the therapeutic process.
