About Brian

Over my life, one truth is increasingly clear to me: the quality of relationships is pivotal to a person’s ability to heal and overcome obstacles. Whether I was working with adolescents, individuals experiencing homelessness, or those in substance abuse recovery, I consistently saw how the presence or absence of a loving, supportive relationship could either foster growth or lead to the development of maladaptive coping mechanisms. I believe that when we feel truly seen, heard, and cared for—especially by those we love—
we can begin to heal and thrive. When these bonds are absent or broken, we are more likely to develop unhealthy coping strategies that ultimately undermine our well-being. In my work with couples, I use this understanding to help partners create and nurture a relationship where both feel emotionally safe and connected. By focusing on building empathy, understanding, and emotional intimacy, I help couples break free from negative cycles, rediscover their bond, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress and conflict. If you’re struggling in your relationship or feeling disconnected from your partner, I’m here to help you cultivate the kind of bond that can support both individual and shared growth. Together, we can build a foundation that fosters healing, resilience, and a stronger, more loving connection.

I have a decade of experience working in a wide range of settings with different people. I have worked as a school counsellor, in hospice for grief support and as an addictions counsellor. I draw on this experience in my work with individuals and couples struggling. I am currently completing my internship with Couples Counselling Centre to obtain my Masters of Counselling Psychology.

Personally Speaking

  1. Interesting fact about me! Coffee puts me to bed.
  2. My favourite quote: “Rome isn’t built in one day.” Whether it is a positive or negative change, it did take time and effort to become what it is now. And with more time and effort, we may shape its future.
